How To Complete Your MRTB First Registration

Requirements For MRTB First Registration  

1. Filling of Registration form with necessary information
2. Submission of original copy of Logbook duly filled and signed out by Medical Director, Chief Medical or Clinical Director
3. Submission of original copy of your  provisional professional license
4. Submission of a photocopy of your oath of practice
5. Submission of a photocopy of your degree certificate
6. Submission of white background passport photograph of yourself
7. Appropriate fees

FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS FOR FIRST REGISTRATION LICENSE BY MEDICAL REHABILITATION THERAPISTS (REG.) BOARD OF NIGERIA.

 First Registration Fees - 35,000

CPD Fine- No CPD fine for first license renewal, as the internship period is regarded as a training period.

 All MRTB fees are payable via the REMITA platform, with the following steps: 

Step 1. Log onto www.remita.net

Step 2. Click on TSA/State

Step 3. Click on Federal Government of Nigeria

Step 4. Answer the following on the page 

• Who do you pay? Type in MEDICAL REHABILITATION in full, “MEDICAL REHABILITATION THERAPY BOARD” will drop down in the menu
• Name of Service/Purpose: pick “LICENSE FEE” on the drop-up
• Amount to pay? Type in your appropriate fees i.e N35,000
• Payer’s name:
• Payer’s Phone:
• Payer’s email: (make sure you use the Registrants/license holders name in this section)

Submit and pay.

Print out your remita receipt and submit to the Board for your Licence.

Requirements For Renewal of MRTB License

1. Submit a copy of your immediate previous professional licence
2. Evidence of CPD (Continuing Professional Development) Program certificates up 30 credit points approved by the Board
3. Appropriate fees

Annual Renewal of Licence 

1. Registrants over 10 years of Practice – N20,000
2. Registrants at 10 years and below of practice – N13,000

NEW  MRTB 2 YEAR LICENSE RENEWAL

Fees for the 2-year licence:

₦30,000 for registrants with 10+ years of experience.

₦19,500 for 10 years of experience or less.

₦22,500 for retirees.

CPD Points:

New requirements: 45 CPD points for 2-year licences:

30 points for Practice domain (15 for theory and 15 for hands-on).

5 points each for Professionalism, Management/Leadership, and Research domains.

Late Payment – payment after 15th of December attracts 50% of annual renewal

1. Registrants above 10years of Practice – 10,000
2. Registrants at 10years and below of practice – 6,500

CPD fine – No CPD points for the year  attracts a fine of 50,000 naira.

Transition Period:

1-year and 2-year licences will run concurrently for 2 years. (Till 2027)

The 1-year renewal will be phased out afterward.

MRTB CPD Requirement:

CPD points must be verified for non-database organizations.

CPD is COMPULSORY; upload points by December 31, 2024.

2024 Register:

Licences must be renewed by December 15, 2024, to be included in the 2024 Register/Bulletin.

Register will be shared with employers.
